Printing from the main screen
To print from the main screen, you will need to have your templates set up. Please refer to Creating & editing templates to learn how to do this.
Printing ribbons using this method is the main way to print a ribbon using the PIY application. This is also the method that your customers will use if you allow them to print their ribbons themselves.
Printing a ribbon
- Tap the ‘Press HERE to start!’ button.
- Select a template.
You now have two options:
- Select a message category on the left, and then press the message you would like to use on the right. Once selected, this text can still be modified.
- Enter your own text by tapping the button ‘Create your own text’, located below the message categories.
💡 Editing categories & default messages
You can edit the categories and messages that can be selected here through the application settings.
The counter on the right side of the text area tells you how many characters you can still enter, based on the maximum length of ribbon.
- If you would like to add emoji to your message, press the smiley in the bottom right corner of the keyboard. This will allow you to browse through all available emoji and select as many as you would like, as long as your message does not exceed the maximum amount of characters.
- Tap the ‘PRINT’ button to print your ribbon.
